The Lesser Key

About

What this is.

A serialized dark-fantasy novel by Woojin, published weekly under the studio semag.

The story is told in chapters of roughly four thousand words, each accompanied by three illustrations. New chapters arrive every Monday at noon GMT.

Why this story

The Lesser Key of Solomon is a 17th-century grimoire that catalogues seventy-two demons. Their names, ranks, sigils. Their legions. The work I'm writing isn't a faithful adaptation. It's a story about what happens when a 12-year-old boy reads that book with his hands — and the names start reading him back.

How to read

There's no schedule pressure. Volumes are bundled when arcs finish. If you want to wait for a complete volume, you can — there will be a clear marker in the Stories index when each volume closes.

If you want to follow week by week, subscribe via RSS or check Royal Road and Scribble Hub for syndicated copies.

About the author

Woojin writes from Seoul. This is his first long-form serial. He works on art and code in equal measure; the studio "semag" houses everything that gets published.
